Privacy policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026. Applies to the Chaser app for Android (package app.pracownia.scigacz; called “Ścigacz” in Polish).
In short. Chaser has no internet access: Android does not let it connect to any server, so nothing it reads can leave your phone through the app. We have no servers, no accounts and no copy of your data. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking. The only thing you can send us is a crash log, and only when you share it yourself.
1. Who is responsible
Chaser is made by PRACOWNIA ADAM KUSIAK, tax ID (NIP) 5242696031, REGON 362824189, ul. Żurawia 6/12 lok. 745, 00-503 Warszawa, Poland, publishing on Google Play as Workshop Apps. For anything about your data write to [email protected].
2. No internet access
The app does not hold the Android INTERNET permission, so the system blocks every network connection it tries to open. This also covers the Google Play Billing library used for optional support (section 6): it includes a Google diagnostics component, which cannot send anything from Chaser for the same reason.
3. What Chaser reads and keeps on your phone
Everything below is stored only in the app's private storage on your phone and is used only to ring alarms you set up.
- Calendar (if you turn on calendar alarms): titles, start times and reminders of events with a time, from the calendars you choose, for the next 48 hours.
- Notifications (if you turn on Important people or Missed calls): notifications from Messenger, Google Messages, Signal, Telegram and phone apps. Chaser checks whether a notification comes from a person you added; if it does, it keeps the person's name or conversation, the message text shown in the alarm and the time, until you read or dismiss it, plus the title and time of the last matching notification, shown in settings so you can check that matching works. Notifications from other people and other apps are ignored and not stored.
- Your important people: the names, conversation names, phone numbers and ready replies you enter.
- Settings and alarm state: which modules are on, active hours, snoozed alarms.
- Crash log: technical error reports (app version, Android version, phone model, stack trace), the newest 64 KB.
4. Permissions and why
- Notification access: to notice an unread message from a chosen person or a missed call. The app asks for it on a separate screen that explains what it reads before sending you to system settings.
- Calendar: to ring at event starts and reminders.
- Alarms & reminders, full-screen alerts, display over other apps, foreground service: to ring on time and show the alarm over the lock screen or the app you are using.
- Notifications, Do Not Disturb access, vibration, start at boot: to show the alarm, bring the ringer back after you mute it, and keep alarms after a restart.
You can withdraw each permission at any time in system settings; the matching feature stops working.
5. Replies
A reply you pick in an alarm goes out through the messaging app's own reply field in its notification, or Chaser opens your SMS app with the text filled in. Nothing is sent without your tap, and the message goes through that app, not through Chaser.
6. Optional support payments
Chaser is free and every feature works without paying. If you choose to support it, the payment is handled by Google Play under Google's privacy policy. The app only receives the purchase confirmation from the Play Store app on your phone. We never see your card or payment details.
7. Crash log
Settings → Crash log shows how many crashes were recorded. “Send to the author” opens the Android share sheet with the log as text; it reaches us only if you pick an app and send it. We use a received log only to fix the error and delete it once fixed. “Clear” deletes the log from your phone.
8. Android backup
If backup is on in your phone's settings, Android may include Chaser's settings and alarm state in your Google account backup, the same as for other apps. That backup is handled by Google, and we have no access to it. You can turn it off in system settings.
9. Sharing
We do not receive your data, so we do not sell it, share it or use it for advertising.
10. Retention and deletion
Data stays on your phone until you delete it. Removing a person removes their entry and pending alarm; clearing the app's storage or uninstalling Chaser deletes everything.
11. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Because your data stays on your phone, you exercise most of these in the app itself. For a crash log you sent us, write to [email protected]; we reply within 30 days. You may also complain to the Polish data protection authority (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stanisława Moniuszki 1A, 00-014 Warszawa) or to the authority in your country.
12. Children
Chaser is meant for adults and is not directed at children.
13. Changes
If the way Chaser handles data changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
